Two ticketed after Nassau road rage shooting investigation

NASSAU, N.Y. (NEWS10)– On Thursday, New York State Police officers announced the arrests of two men reportedly involved in a road rage shooting incident in July 2025. According to troopers, both men, Ryan Hoffman, and Cody Morrill, were issued violations.

Troopers said the two were arrested after a lengthy investigation into the incident. According to state police, the two were allegedly involved in a physical fight after an argument on Nassau Averill Park Road.

During the fight, Hoffman allegedly fired a gun, hitting Morrill in the chest twice. Morrill was listed in stable but critical condition after the incident.

Investigators said as the investigation continued, Hoffman was cooperative…
