All-you-can-eat sushi spot opens in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A new all-you-can-eat sushi place has opened in downtown Schenectady. Hokkaido is currently in its soft opening phase.

Hokkaido is located at 469 State Street in the former Ember & Cork space. Ember & Cork closed at the end of January after a little more than a year open. It was also the former spot of Zen Asian Fusion Lounge, which closed in September 2024.

The Hokkaido menu features soup, salad, fried rice, stir-fry noodles and udon, maki and hand rolls, sashimi, nigiri, special rolls, and more. You can view the menu on the Hokkaido Instagram page. The restaurant also offers an a la carte menu.

For all-you-can-eat, lunch costs $18.99 and dinner costs $29.99 Monday through Friday. it costs $31.99 on weekends and holidays. Hokkaido is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
