ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) — An Albany man was arrested on felony drug possession charges, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.
On March 19, 2026, at about 8:35 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near Washington Avenue and North Lake Avenue for a traffic violation. During the stop, the driver, 37-year-old Vancito I. George, allegedly fled on foot but was quickly caught and taken into custody.
Authorities found George with about 40 grams of crack cocaine, indicating intent to distribute, investigators said. He faces charges including two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, obstructing governmental administration, and multiple traffic violations…
