COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal two-car crash on Central Avenue in Colonie on Friday. 89-year-old Charles Flannagan of Loudonville was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Colonie Police Department, the crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m., west of New Karner Road. Upon arrival, authorities said they found two heavily damaged SUVs, one white and one gray, that had crashed and hit a utility pole.
The driver of the white SUV — later identified as Flannagan — was found to be unconscious and died despite CPR efforts, police said. The white SUV’s passenger was also reported to be seriously injured and taken to Albany Medical Center, while the driver of the gray SUV was sent to the hospital with minor injuries…
