Everyone gets out safe as fire tears through Albany home

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) — One person was hurt in a fire that damaged two buildings on Delaware Street in Albany on Wednesday.

Fire Chief Joseph Gregory said Albany firefighters were dispatched at 9:45 p.m. to 50 Delaware Street at the corner of Elizabeth Street. They arrived three minutes later and found heavy fire in the rear of a two-story wood-frame structure.

The fire spread into the first and second floors and into the attic space. A second alarm was transmitted at 10:21 p.m. when the fire extended into the vacant building next door at 52 Delaware Street…
