Schenectady police are investigating a shooting that left a 13-year-old boy hospitalized in stable condition. The incident occurred on Thursday night (March 25) in the Hamilton Hill neighborhood. Officers responded to an 8:20 p.m. call reporting a shooting on Summit Avenue, where they found the wounded teenager.
The boy was treated at the scene before being transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he underwent surgery. According to Times Union, this marks the fourth time in less than a month that a minor has been shot in the Capital Region, with the other incidents occurring in Albany.
