ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — A 24-year-old man who ran up behind a 17-year-old boy and knocked him unconscious with a wooden board is heading to state prison.
The Honorable William Little sentenced Emanuel Mackey-Bailey to 13 and a half years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision after he pleaded guilty to Assault in the First Degree for an attack that happened on Sept. 10, 2025.
Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon said that just before 1 p.m. that day on Ontario Street near Western Avenue, Mackey-Bailey ran up from behind a victim and swung a board at the side of head.
