Duanesburg superintendent apologizes after student apathy comments spark backlash

DUANESBURG, N.Y. (WNYT) — Duanesburg school leaders say they are trying to rebuild trust after controversy over comments by the district superintendent.

The issue followed comments Superintendent Kimberly Ross made in the Daily Gazette about what she described as student apathy. The Board of Education said it takes those concerns seriously and said the way the information was shared caused hurt and frustration.
