The East Greenbush Central School District has shared an updated $119.8 million proposed budget for the 2026–27 school year, which includes a 3.33% tax levy increase—still within the state’s tax cap. Superintendent Dr. Kurtis Kotes explained that rising health insurance costs are driving much of the increase, with employee benefits now making up 42% of the total budget growth.
