“Numerous hazards” as firefighters battle fire at Jay’s Auto Repair in Clifton Park

Clifton Park, NY (WRGB) — Firefighters called to a structure fire at Jay’s Auto Repair on Freeman Lane off Route 146 in Clifton Park found the building fully engulfed in flames and launched an aggressive exterior attack, officials said.

Crews were dispatched at 6:50 p.m. on March 31, and arrived to a “fully involved structure” at the auto repair shop. Firefighters began working from the outside because conditions inside the garage were considered too dangerous.

Two vehicles were inside the garage, along with “numerous other hazards,” making an interior attack unsafe for firefighters, officials said…
