White pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree murder in January, confessing to stabbing his former partner at a Lincoln Avenue home on March 14. The DA’s office said that White stabbed Jaikaran 90 times in the head, neck, and chest until the knife broke in two.

Jaikaran, who also had injuries to her arms and hands from trying to defend herself, was transported to Ellis Hospital before she died. Court officials added that as part of White’s plea deal, he waived his right to an appeal.
