Queensbury man gets over 8 years in prison for stealing funds from financial company

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – A former Queensbury businessman was sentenced to about 8 years in prison on Friday for spending his lending company’s money to buy luxury goods and pay other clients.

Kris Roglieri was the CEO of Prime Capital Ventures. The Albany-based company worked to secure loans for other companies.

Prosecutors said Roglieri used the funds that the companies paid as a down payment to secure loans on personal items for himself. This included $84,000 for a Rolex gold diamond bezel watch – one of about seven he owned – and $101,000 for round-trip private air travel from Albany to Anguilla for a family vacation…
