For nearly a year, the Schenectady Police Department has been the only law enforcement agency in the Capital Region using drones for first response situations—offering a new perspective on how officers respond to calls.
From a rooftop station at police headquarters, drones can be launched within moments, providing immediate aerial support during emergencies. The devices give officers a live view from above—often before units on the ground even arrive.
