Hilgendorff, who also serves as the district’s assistant superintendent for business, will replace current superintendent Michael Bennett as he steps down and transitions to another job. Bennett’s last day at the district is set for April 13.
“After interviewing multiple interim candidates, we believe that appointing our Assistant Superintendent for Business, Mr. Todd Hilgendorff, provides the necessary continuity to close out the current school year, and is a fiscally responsible decision,” the board of education said. “We appreciate Mr. Hilgendorff’s willingness to serve as our Interim Superintendent while continuing with his current responsibilities.”
The district has hired Frame Superintendent Search, LLC for assistance as it looks for superintendent candidates. The position has also reportedly been posted to several websites, including NYS Council of School Superintendents.
