Schenectady, NY (WRGB) — A traffic stop attempt in Schenectady early Saturday escalated into a police pursuit that ended with a crash and a DWI arrest, according to New York State Police.
On March 28, 2026, at about 4:09 a.m., State Police of Princetown attempted to stop a vehicle on Broadway in Schenectady for a vehicle and traffic law violation. State Police said the driver, later identified as 21-year-old David Singh of Schenectady, failed to comply and a pursuit was initiated.
During the pursuit, police said Singh continued to drive his vehicle recklessly and hit another vehicle at the intersection of McClelland Street and Union Street. The driver and passenger in that vehicle were not injured, State Police said…
