ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– An early morning brush fire in the wooded area off the I-90 Westbound exit onto I-787 is under investigation. According to Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory, no injuries were reported.

According to Gregory, the department was dispatched to the woods next to the Patroon Island Bridge just after 5:30 a.m. and arrived within minutes. Gregory said dispatch received multiple calls for the fire.
Upon arrival, they found a large area of the woods was on fire.
By 6 a.m., the right shoulder and right lane of the exit was closed, according to 511NY. By 6:26 a.m., the fire was under control…
