ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) —Youth sports are about more than just wins and losses. For many kids, they’re a place to build confidence, make friends, and feel like they belong. Here in Albany, the Albany Police Athletic League—better known as PAL—has been doing just that for decades.
Founded in 1988, the organization brings kids, police officers, and the community together through sports and mentorship. Today, it continues to serve hundreds of local families with programs designed to keep kids active, engaged, and supported.
More Than Just a Game
At Albany PAL, the focus goes beyond the scoreboard. From track and field to baseball and flag football, kids of all skill levels have a chance to get involved—whether they’re trying something new or building on experience. But the biggest lessons don’t always happen during the game.
