Greenville Drive-In to reopen under new ownership

GREENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Greenville Drive-In will reopen under new leadership. In an exclusive announcement on NEWS10, CEO of Scene One Entertainment Joe Masher said he is taking it over for a reopening on May 15.

It was announced last year that the previous owners would be closing the drive-in due to “ongoing out-of-state eldercare commitments.” Dwight Grimm and Leigh Van Swall ran the Greenville Drive-In for about 10 years, after they revived it in 2015.

In 2023, Grimm told NEWS10 that his drive-in was “the most viewed drive-in screen in the world” as Taylor Swift’s official lyric video for “this is me trying” featured lyrics over a drive-in movie screen, which Grimm said is from the property. To mark the anniversary of the release of that video, the Greenville Drive-In previously held “Taylor Swift Appreciation” events.

Masher said the drive-in will bring back the Taylor Swift-themed events, while continuing the drive-in’s tradition of showing both old and new films…
