Watch: Albany “pawses” when bear falls from tree after being tranquilized

Albany, NY (WRGB) — A bear spotted in a tree in Albany prompted road closures and a response from police and wildlife officials.

The bear was seen on Second Avenue near Raymo Street. Albany police said Second Avenue between Hoffman Avenue and Frisbie Avenue was closed, and Garden Street at Raymo Street was also closed.

Officials tranquilized the bear, and it later fell from the tree. The bear is now in the care of the state Department of Environmental Conservation…
