ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT)- Federal prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against Edward Leon Sr. in a Schenectady fire case.
Leon is accused of setting the 2013 Schenectady fire that killed David Terry and three of his young children. Prosecutors said the fire also seriously injured Sa’Fyre Terry.
In a new court filing, prosecutors said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche authorized the U.S. Attorney’s Office to seek the death penalty. Leon is charged with malicious use of fire resulting in death and has pleaded not guilty…
