Lisa Caporizzo’s Celebration of Life set for Saturday

ALTAMONT, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Celebration is Life is being held for Steve Caporizzo’s beloved late wife, Lisa, on Saturday, May 16 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Orchard Creek Golf Club in Altamont. All proceeds from the event will be going toward the newly-created non-profit, Lisa Cap’s Legacy.

Lisa Cap’s Legacy focuses on helping senior, hospice, and disabled pets that need homes or medical treatment. NEWS10’s Christina Arangio sat down with Cap to talk more about the event. You can watch the conversation in the video above.

The Celebration of Life will feature an acoustic set by Dave and Renee from Skeeter Creek, as well as a performance by Big Sky Country. There will be food for the first 400 people, 50/50 raffles, and more.

Everyone is invited, not just family and friends. “Lisa touched so many lives. It’s for everybody. You’re all invited,” said Cap.

The Celebration of Life is a 16+ event. No pets are allowed. Admission is a $25 donation. Cap also said there will be a huge announcement at the event.

“I want this to be a day to reflect on her life and all the positive things,” said Cap. “It’s going to be, I think, still pretty emotional for me, but I’m in a much better place and this is part of, I think, my therapy and healing.”…
