SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Ballston Spa restaurant is opening up another location in Schenectady. In a Facebook post, the owners of Alaturco Gyro Mediterranean Restaurant announced that they bought the former Gershon’s Deli space at 1600 Union Street.
Gershon’s Deli closed at the end of January after more than 60 years in business. The owner said the closure was due to rising costs and economic challenges.
