Police: Man arrested with loaded gun during Cohoes traffic stop

COHOES, N.Y. (WNYT)- Cohoes police said a traffic stop led to a loaded handgun arrest and multiple weapon charges for an Albany man.

According to the Cohoes Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle Friday, May 15, at about 8 p.m. on NY-787 near Tibbits Avenue. During the investigation, police said passenger Miguel A. Flores, 23, of Albany was found with a fully loaded Taurus G2C 9mm semi-automatic handgun.

Flores and driver Yandell Moya, 20, of Troy, were taken into custody without incident and brought to the Cohoes Police Department for processing. Police said Flores was later arraigned in Cohoes City Court and sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail…
