Court docs: Man accused of placing fake bomb in Colonie had shocking notebook

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The 26-year-old man accused of placing a false bomb on the playground at Colonie Mohawk River Park Saturday, Brandon Arsenault, appeared in Colonie Town Court Monday for a preliminary hearing. Court documents showed what else Arsenault allegedly left at the scene, along with the fake bomb.

Arsenault appeared in court Monday evening for only a few minutes. His hearing was adjourned to Wednesday, May 20.

NEWS10’s Vanessa Blasi visited the Colonie Mohawk River Park Saturday where she saw a couple kids and families enjoying the weather, including Alana Rivera.

“We come to this park all the time, this is our first time hearing about this. I actually can’t even believe that would happen here,” said Rivera. “Never over here, not at this park.”…
