From emcee to DJ and talent manager, Albany’s Wiz Hoffa has played several roles in the 518 hip-hop scene. At Empire Underground next Saturday, he and multiple generations of local rappers will celebrate all of these musical permutations.
The “Wiz Hoffa and Friends” event at the Albany venue will serve as a 50th birthday celebration and showcase for artists he shared a connection with through his pursuits in the craft and business sides of rap. It’s an approach to music he describes as “multifaceted” and has presented him with a wealth of exciting opportunities.
