BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday took another step toward opening a new animal adoption center.
Last night, the commissioners approved renovations at 9901 Montgomery Blvd. NE, which si the site of a former VCA Animal Hospital.
The county anticipates closing on the $2 million property by the end of June. To prepare the building for opening, staff requested an additional $4.9 million for critical infrastructure upgrades. The resolution was passed by commissioners on a 4 to 0 vote…
