NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – It’s a snack that’s sure to please a crowd. KRQE asked viewers via social media which nachos are the best in the state.
Taking the first spot in the poll is Sadie’s of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Sadie’s began as a humble hamburger stand in the 1950s with just nine seats, but 70 years later, the family-owned restaurant has developed into a bustling local favorite with over 120 seats.
In a surprising second place, many viewers prefer homemade creations to any eatery. Whether that plate comes from their own kitchen or a friend’s, sometimes restaurant options just don’t quite match up.
Tied for third are Nexus Brewery & Restaurant and The Office Bar & Grill, both in Albuquerque. Nexus specializes in beer and New Mexican soul food, while The Office is located within Paradise Hills Golf Course and serves a signature nacho appetizer…
