ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Mosquitoes are small, annoying and even deadly, which is why New Mexico’s state health department is getting involved in tracking them as they spread further.
The New Mexico Department of Health recently launched its new, statewide surveillance program Wednesday. It’s focused on giving state leaders a better idea of which species are here already, where populations are expanding the most and what diseases they may carry and spread.
