El Higo Court water main break repaired, RR says

RIO RANCHO — A water main break that occurred late Tuesday in the Corrales Heights neighborhood of Rio Rancho left numerous residents with with little to no water into the night and early morning before service was restored.

The break happened near the intersection of El Higo Court and Palmas Atlas Drive around 5 p.m. June 30 and was expected to take eight to 10 hours to repair, according to the city’s website. But work to fix the break went into the night and the city offered free bottled water in the Sabana Grande Recreation Center parking lot and free shower use at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center. By 9:30 a.m. July 1, the water main break was repaired and water was back in service around 10 a.m., the city stated.
