EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — Chihuahua state police arrested eight alleged kidnappers after rescuing two minors and 12 migrants during an operation in Juárez, authorities said.
According to the Chihuahua State Secretariat of Public Security, the investigation began after surveillance personnel spotted two men in a vehicle allegedly involved in human smuggling activities near the banks of the Rio Grande in the Bellavista neighborhood.
State police officers responded to the area near the intersection of Estaño and Begonias streets, arrested the two men and seized the vehicle.
