ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The 2026-2027 school year is right around the corner and the City of Albuquerque Youth & Family Services Department is hosting an event to get students prepared for class.

The department is hosting Cruzin’ Into the School Year events at the West Mesa Community Center, located at 5500 Glenrio Rd. NW, and the Community Center at 7505 Kathryn Ave. on Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
At the events, staff will be giving out free backpacks and other school supplies. There will also be show cars on display, food trucks, resource groups and more…
