ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Monsoon storms are possible Wednesday for parts of New Mexico but not everybody will get in on the action.
The latest model guidance this morning has slightly decreased the coverage compared to yesterday. Dry air in the mid-levels of the atmosphere is wrapping around the upper-level high. Other factors may ultimately reduce and limit storm coverage as well.
Rain is likely to favor the northern mountains and northeastern New Mexico. Rain chances for the Albuquerque metro are lower – about a 10-20% chance. Far northwest and southeast New Mexico should remain dry, in general…
