ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The U.S. Justice Department Office of the Inspector General announced Monday they’re going to look into the Drug Enforcement Administration’s policies and actions nationwide regarding fentanyl investigations – with a specific focus on New Mexico.
While the OIG stated they’re going to focus on the DOJ’s actions over the last two years, they mentioned New Mexico specifically. They noted they’re specifically going to look into the years-old fentanyl investigations in the state to examine what is supposed to happen when there are internal disputes over whether or not to seize fentanyl.
