Serial burglary suspect faces new charges, stays in jail

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Police say a burglary suspect tied to seven cases since June will stay in jail for now after officers arrested him again following a chase.

Police say Fabian Uriate-Soto has been on a burglary spree since June. He first drew attention in July when police accused him of breaking into a restaurant and stealing alcohol and nearly $1,000 worth of shrimp.

Restaurant owner Leo Hernandez said he had built strong ties in the area, and those connections helped identify Uriate-Soto after the break-in…
