ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The final full week of August means the end of the last month of meteorological summer but the record warmth and dryness aren’t letting up.
We’re on track for the record-warmest August, in terms of average temperature when combining morning lows and afternoon highs. When separating them into their respective categories, Albuquerque is also looking at the warmest average morning low (69.8 degrees) and the warmest average afternoon highs (96 degrees). Albuquerque has seen seven daily records tied or broken in August.
