[1] Frijoles Fire officials confirm death of incident support crew member – Sunday, emergency personnel received reports of a medical emergency at the site of the blaze. One person was taken to a local hospital, where they later died. The forest service said the person was an incident support crew member. They were part of the California Interagency Incident Management Team 8.
[2] NM Medical Board gives update on law looking to combat doctor shortage – As concerns surrounding doctors leaving the state continue, lawmakers are checking in with the state’s medical board on one of the recent laws passed that aims to combat the shortage. Signed by the governor this year, the interstate medical licensure compact act makes it easier for out-of-state licensed providers to work in New Mexico. Last week, the state’s medical board told lawmakers the law is in the process of being implemented.
