10 years later: Community still mourns the loss of Victoria Martens

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It would have been her 20th birthday. Instead, 10 years after the gruesome murder of Victoria Martens, the community still gathers every year to mourn her loss.

For 10 years, a tree at Mariposa Basin Park has been a place to remember a girl who never got the chance to grow up. People have placed butterflies, dolls, sparkles, and purple items, all the things Victoria Martens loved.
