Showers and cooler temperatures set to return to New Mexico this week

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Showers and storms are set to return to New Mexico this week, creating a flooding risk while finally cooling temperatures.

High temperatures in the Albuquerque metro will start with around 86 degrees in Albuquerque for Monday. Then, it’ll gradually decrease as the week goes along. We’ll barely get into the 80s by the end of the week in Albuquerque.

As far as rain, we’re going to be watching those flood chances across the southern mountains, especially on days like Tuesday where we’re going to be getting scattered showers across the state. That really leads into what I think is going to be the biggest day of showers for monsoon: Wednesday…
