Reliable Robotics has completed its first autonomous flights at Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico, demonstrating automated aircraft operations within complex commercial airspace under the Federal Aviation Administration’s Advanced Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Integration Pilot Program (eIPP).
The two-day flight campaign used a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan equipped with the Reliable Autonomy System (RAS), demonstrating automated taxiing, takeoff and landing while operating alongside conventional civilian and military air traffic.
The Reliable Robotics autonomous flights represent a milestone in the company’s efforts to integrate advanced aircraft automation into the National Airspace System and establish future autonomous regional air cargo services across the Four Corners region.
