Pedestrian killed in crash in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian near Central Ave. and Garcia St. in northeast Albuquerque. APD said a vehicle was traveling east on Central Ave. when the pedestrian ran into lanes of traffic.

APD said the driver was not able to avoid hitting the pedestrian who died on scene. APD said impairment and speed are not factors in the crash and that it appears to be due to pedestrian error.
