ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A New Mexico man experiencing kidney failure was only given a year to live. That is, until he got life changing news. Much to his surprise he had a donor and it was someone close to him.
Lisa and Jeffrey Schnapp still remember the moment they received the terrifying news. “It was 18 months ago. Came to the hospital, the emergency department at UNMH and they said you sir are in kidney failure and they gave me about a year to live,” said Jeffrey.
