Two Albuquerque gun store employees facing federal gun charges

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A pair of Albuquerque gun store employees are facing federal charges accused of illegally selling custom guns to customers. It comes after the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents posed as customers at the Shooter’s Denon San Mateo last year.

According to a federal search warrant, Anthony Stephen and Whitney Bisetti sold unregistered firearms Stephen had custom-built without a manufacturing license. The feds said Stephen also made illegal modifications to those guns in front of the undercover agents. The two are charged with conspiring to traffic firearms as well as transferring unregistered firearms.
