ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – James Metts is facing new charges after being indicted in federal court in connection with his armed robbery cases in Metro court. The federal grand jury indicted Metts on interference with commerce by robbery, using a firearm in the commission of a crime, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
New Mexico man pleads guilty to voluntary manslaughter
Those come from a string of armed robberies from July to September in 2023 that includes a case from July that isn’t part of the 26 charges he’s facing in Metro court. Metts is being on the state charges. He’s pled not guilty to the charges.
