18-year-old accused of bringing 2 guns in Albuquerque nightclub

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is investigating after a man is accused of pulling out a gun inside a Downtown nightclub Friday night.

Officers responded to the library on Central where they found 18-year-old Xavier Chavez. He allegedly had two firearms, one in his waistband, and another in an ankle holster.

The complaint said he was brandishing a gun toward customers. One of the firearms was confirmed to be stolen, and APD said he showed signs of intoxication.

Chavez is facing multiple charges including negligent use of a firearm.
