Canadian Indigenous art comes to Albuquerque Museum

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A special art exhibit made its way to the Albuquerque Museum on Saturday, reflecting the historic and current cultures of Indigenous people.

The pieces featured are just a few works from the McMichael Collection, art including Indigenous works in Canada starting in 1957.

On Saturday, an art writer and a well-known artist shared more about the large-scale survey of Indigenous art.

She detailed the art in the collection in the book “Early Days: Indigenous Art from the McMichael.”
