NMSP: Man carjacks BMW, Porsche, and drives through gates and fences to elude officials

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A man was arrested for carjacking multiple victims and running from authorities. New Mexico State Police (NMSP) pursued the man after he allegedly fled from an Albuquerque Police Department (APD) traffic stop.

On Saturday, January 27, APD contacted NMSP to let them know there was a stolen vehicle that had fled the wrong way on Central Avenue. An air unit was tracking the vehicle, and NMSP officers were waiting to assist near State Road 333.

The driver reportedly carjacked a BMW on State Road 333, and authorities began to pursue him. He was later identified as David Crespin, 36, of Albuquerque. The BMW turned north on State Road 14.
