Golden Pride employee accused of fatally stabbing coworker will be held until trial

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Golden Pride employee who police say stabbed and killed his co-worker will stay behind bars until his trial. Officers say video shows 37-year-old Ethan Sheppard lunging at the victim, calling him a snitch, and stabbing him in the neck. The victim would later die at the hospital.

Sheppard and his defense went before Judge Joseph Montano and accepted the state’s request for detention saying he’s already expected to be held in another county related to a warrant for violating probation.
