CORRALES, N.M. (KRQE) – The Corrales Police Department says a man wanted for murder is now in custody. Charles Kauffman is accused of shooting and killing Elizabeth Barela and leaving her body near a home in the south part of the village. A motive has not been revealed but police say the two had stayed at the house off and on for months.
