Albuquerque looking for input on Rail Trail project

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The city has been working on a pedestrian trail centered on the history of Old Town, Downtown, and the Rail Yards. Now, the Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency (MRA) is looking for community feedback.

“The Rail Trail is a transformative investment in our community that will tell the story of Albuquerque,” Mayor Tim Keller said in a press release. “Input from the people who call this place home is key to ensuring that the trail not only reflects our authentic history, but lifts up historic neighborhoods as our city continues to grow.”

MRA has completed a report on the project with a focus on including residents and cultures from neighborhoods near the trail. Locals can provide comments on the report at this link .

The survey will be open through March 8, 2024. The input will be part of a final report published in spring, the city says. For more information, you can sign up for an informational webinar scheduled for February 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
