Albuquerque man accused of pulling gun at nightclub will stay behind bars

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man accused of pulling a gu n on several people inside a downtown nightclub will remain behind bars. The Albuquerque Police Department responded to the Library Bar and Grill on Central Ave. over the weekend saying they found 18-year-old Xavier Chavez with two guns on him.

Police say Chavez was drunk and brandishing a gun towards people at the bar. APD also says one of the guns they found on Chavez was stolen.

Judge Joseph Montano agreed with the state that Chavez poses a threat to the community and kept him behind bars. His next court appearance has not been scheduled yet.
